GEORGE’S® Maryland Crab Soup
1 medium onion, chopped
1-28 oz can crushed tomatoes (we recommend San Marzano)
1 cup water
2 cups Frank’s RedHot®, Old Bay®️, Zatarain’s®, GEORGE’S® Spicy or Mild Bloody Mary Mix
3 cups beef stock
4 cups mixed frozen veggies (any blend)
1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes, drained
2-3 T Old Bay®️ seasoning (omit if using GEORGE’S Old Bay®️ Bloody Mary Mix)
2 lbs backfin lump crabmeat
Heat a little extra virgin olive oil in a dutch oven. Add onion and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or until soft. Add tomatoes, water, GEORGE’S®, and beef stock and stir well. Add veggies, stewed tomatoes and Old Bay®️( if using). Simmer, but do not boil, for at least 35-45 minutes. Add crabmeat and simmer a few minutes more. Serve and ENJOY!
The longer you simmer, the even better!
